On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) conducted an institutional evaluation and accreditation process focused on internationalization, attended by the University President, Vice Presidents, faculty members, and senior management.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Vice President for International Affairs, the evaluation program took place with the participation of the University President, the Vice President for Education, the Vice President for International Affairs, members of the Board of Directors, the head of the leadership institution, faculty members, and senior university managers.

During the meeting, held in the conference hall of the Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Nader Tavakoli, President of the University, emphasized the significance of fostering scientific and educational interactions on a global scale. He stated that internationalization is one of the university's strategic priorities, adding, “International evaluation and accreditation present a valuable opportunity to assess our activities, enhance processes, and improve the quality of the university at both regional and global levels.”

Dr. Moghtadaei, the Vice President for International Affairs, provided a report on initiatives, measures, and indicators aimed at developing scientific and educational cooperation with reputable international universities and centers. He highlighted that enhancing scientific capabilities, expanding educational diplomacy, and attracting international students are key priorities for the university's internationalization efforts.

The evaluation team outlined the stages of the accreditation process and detailed the program for field visits to educational, medical, welfare, and other infrastructures of the university. Specialized meetings and document reviews were also conducted with officials, faculty members, students, and experts in their respective fields.
